2012.07.31 22:23:36 Canadian Bonds Up as Caution Mounts Before Central Bank Meetings

LIMA, Peru--Peru's main stock market indexes ended lower Tuesday, as
shares of some blue-chip companies declined.

The Lima Stock Exchange's General Index declined 0.2% to close at 19652.66.

The blue-chip Selective Index lost 0.12% to finish at 28879.05.

Precious-metals mining company Compania de Minas Buenaventura (BVN,
BUENAVC1.Vl) fell 1.48% to end at $36.55.

Tin mining company Minsur SA (MINSURI1.VL) ended 2.19% lower at 2.23
soles ($0.85). Minsur reported Tuesday that its second-quarter net
income fell to PEN61.7 million from PEN117.6 million in the same
period last year.

Financial-holding company Credicorp Ltd. (BAP, BAP.VL) lost 1.27% to
close at $117. Credicorp owns Peru's largest bank, Banco de Credito.

Meanwhile, the sol closed slightly stronger at PEN2.627 per dollar
compared with PEN2.629 per U.S. dollar in the previous session.

So far this year, the sol has strengthened 2.6% against the dollar,
while in the past 12 months it has appreciated 4.23%.
