Chinese President Hu Jintao said Wednesday China will participate in international action to support Europe and the euro zone and that he believed Europe was capable of overcoming its difficulties.
Hu made the remarks while meeting with visiting European Council President Van Rompuy and European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, according to a report on the central government website.
Hu also said China will keep strengthening policy coordination with the European Union and will support measures by the International Monetary Fund and the European Central Bank to address debt problems.
