2012.05.03 15:01:51 MARKET TALK: CAD Up As Sentiment Sours On Euro, Sweetens On US
9:02 (Dow Jones) The euro turns tail against the dollar as Draghi talks following the ECB meeting. Clearly the market is hanging on his every word--looking for signs of whether the central bank will do anything about the region's quickly weakening economy--after being in a narrow trading range most of today's global session. Volatility in the cross is running at about double the normal rate for this time of morning, according to DJ FX Trader's volatility heat map. The euro went from $1.3095 at 8:33am EDT to a high of $1.3168 at 8:54, according to EBS via CQG. (stephen.bernard@dowjones.com)
