2012.05.04 03:45:17 MARKET TALK: China To Launch More Pro-Consumption Moves Ahead - CS
0145 GMT [Dow Jones] Credit Suisse says the Chinese government will likely introduce further initiatives to boost domestic consumption in the months ahead "as part of its increased selective easing measures to achieve a manageable slowdown in the growth pace." The house notes that April's non-manufacturing PMI eased to 56.1 from March's 58 reading, pointing to some signs of a slowing services industry, which matches its expectations. It adds that although demand for high-end consumption is slowing, lower-end demand from Tier-3 and Tier-4 cities is tipped to accelerate, "in line with the government's grand strategy to transform China into a more consumption-led economy."
