NEW YORK--In brief remarks Thursday, Federal Reserve Bank of
Minneapolis President Narayana Kocherlakota didn't comment on the
monetary policy or economic outlook.
The official's comments released by the bank were for a gathering held
in Polson, Mont.
Mr. Kocherlakota's speech focused on the structure of the Federal
Reserve, and were general in nature. Mr. Kocherlakota noted in his
speech that as important as data and economic models are, he relies a
lot on local anecdotal information as he thinks about policy-making.
