TORONTO--National Bank of Canada (NA.T), one of Canada's big six
banks, aims to raise a minimum of 500 million Canadian dollars
(US$505.6 million) from an issue of five-year deposit notes, according
to a person familiar with the matter.
The issue has yet to be priced.
The price talk is for about 117 basis points over the Government of
Canada 1.5% September 2017 benchmark.
