WASHINGTON--A meeting of Federal Reserve policy makers began at 1 p.m.
Tuesday, as scheduled, a spokeswoman for the central bank said.
Members of the Federal Open Market Committee are expected to discuss
the latest developments for the economy and weigh if any additional
stimulus is necessary. The committee is slated to release its policy
statement from the meeting on Wednesday afternoon. The central bank is
not scheduled to offer any economic projections.
