2012.05.25 16:00:41 MARKET TALK: USD/JPY Turns Positive After US Consumer Sentiment
10:00 (Dow Jones) The dollar is back into positive territory, but just barely, against the yen after a better-than-expected University of Michigan-Reuters consumer sentiment report. The index came in at 79.3, above the 77.8 economists had forecast. That is helping the dollar-yen cross, which is most prone to economic reports because it is affected by interest-rate differentials and growth prospects. The dollar is now at Y79.61 from Y79.60 late Thursday and Y79.55 just before the report was announced, according to EBS via CQG. (stephen.bernard@dowjones.com)
